MacNet Closing After Nearly 24 Years Serving Maui
Kahului, Maui - January 24, 2019 - MacNet today announced the upcoming closure of their popular Kahului store on Friday, March 15th, 2019. MacNet has been a Maui fixture for over two decades, the local source for Apple & Bose products and support. From humble beginnings in 1996, originally named “The Internet Source and More”, MacNet at that time helped clients get on a crazy new thing called the Internet. Since then, MacNet has gone through several iterations and locations, but they are still the place to go for great customer service when one is frustrated and needing solutions. MacNet has become beloved by many Mauians as a tech epicenter that melds the cherished slower pace of Maui with the energetic hum of the modern world.
As MacNet readies for closing, there will be many changes for those of us used to having this tech support staple for the past 24 years. MacNet will stop taking in new repairs starting February 1st - although software (non-hardware) counter assistance will be offered through February 15th. Also, all computers and devices in for repair must be picked up by February 28th, 2019 (No exceptions, unfortunately). All outstanding store credits and gift cards must be redeemed by February 28th, 2019. MacNet advises customers to keep all receipts.
Many items are now discounted 25% to 50%. Most items in the store will be on clearance so it’s a great time to find deals.
MacNet will host its final in store event for its customers on Friday, February 8th from 6pm to 7pm. They are asking everyone to join them in their celebration of nearly 24 great years and learn more about what this means for the future of Apple & Bose product sales and support on Maui.
